LAST AUGUST 9, 2007, WIN-ATRIUM AND BEYOND FELLOWSHIP, a marketplace ministry of Christians in government composed of employees from Pag-IBIG Fund, B.I.R. and Atrium of Makati Condominium, located in Makati Ave, Makati Philippines, celebrated its 3rd year anniversary. The theme of the gathering was derived from Luke 10:1-2, where God appointed 70 other disciples and sent them two by two to prepare the place where Jesus himself was about to go. We celebrated God’s goodness for the past three years of going public in our faith.
Despite the rain and almost non- availability of the desired venue, God had once again proven to us his authority and power. At the last minute, we still got the conference hall. As the coordinator of this ministry, my prayer then, was not to ask God to stop the rain simply because the Philippines was in great need of rain showers for our farmers, my prayer was not even to give us the best venue but simply for God’s mighty presence. Indeed, we had a special visitation from God, because people encountered Him and were blessed through his words and the testimonies of his goodness.

After the celebration, many testimonies came, thoughts were entertained and here are some:
• The delivered and anointed sermon from Pastor Butch Yu, (Senior Pastor of WIN-Singapore) whom God brought to us as speaker for the anniversary, was about, “My Job: Does it matters to God?, had impacted Mrs. Cristy Jose (coordinator of the Catholic mass at Atrium). She came to my office early in the morning of Aug.10, 2007 and told me of what she learned through the sermon, in which she now requested to have bible study in her office.
• Abbey, the Asst. Manager in Pag-IBIG Fund, who just came to know the Lord, a couple of weeks ago, boldly shared her personal encounter with the Lord. She is the result of my prayer for almost 16 years. She called me up and shared her thoughts of having this kind of topics for the people in the marketplace…
• The communion administered by Pastor Joseph Samson, which was done in the workplace was meaningful as commented. We were also blessed by the presence and performance of some Korean missionaries who joined the celebration, just to witness how the marketplace is being handled in the Philippines.
• The impromptu dance presentation of WIN-Justine Bldg, brethren from Pag-IBIG Fund office along Buendia Ave, being handled by Pastor Bayani, and the PowerKids, children of parents from BIR & Atrium.

Our workplaces are our mission-field where God has placed and expected us to start witnessing for Him. Through our good examples and bold testimonies of God’s love, we will not only make a difference but also make an impact in the lives of people around us. As we have been reminded by the message we heard from Pastor Butch, our work is important to God, therefore, we should give importance to it. Our work is a blessing from God; therefore we should be channels of blessings to others. And finally, our work is our service to God; therefore we should give our whole heart and best as working for the Lord and not for men.
My constant prayer is as we walk with the Lord daily, our workplace will no longer be a place of strongholds of corruptions, no longer be a place of failures but rather a God-given place for wining others for Christ, where lives will be worthy, pleasing, growing and bearing much fruit for the glory of God.
See you next year to celebrate God’s abundance. To God be the Glory!
Sis. Tate
