Koinonia Leaders Retreat
By Bro. Mark Boado

“Jesus withdrew from the crowd”.
You might be asking. What? Jesus getting away from the crowd? C’mon!
Contrary to popular belief, Jesus did in fact periodically withdrew from the daily rudiments of his ministry to reflect, replenish and most of all PRAY. The 4 gospel writers often mention such incidents while chronicling the life of Jesus. Come to think of it, Jesus, having been every Christian’s model of in-depth and hands-on leadership, constantly detaches away from it all just to be with his thoughts and HIS father.

Learning from a Child's Spirituality
By Manju B. Yu [May 2007]
Word International Ministries Myanmar Orphanage [2006]
During the recent Seven Last Words Service, I had a chance to visit our WINK Class. After all the games and food galore, they heard the good news of the Resurrection. You should have seen their little faces light up when they heard the story of the Risen Lord. It was so easy for these little children to believe that the Savior lives in their hearts. There were no more hustles and dilly-dallying accepting that the resurrection was true. Though it was a sad day for our Lord because he suffered, the children knew the outcome of his death; they knew that the cross was only for moment and the resurrection was eternal. Spending time with them that day, taught me a lot of faith basics, and that is to say, unless we spend enough time with our children today, we will miss what we have sometimes been missing - spirituality. And unless we become like these little children we will not see the kingdom of heaven.

Couples Acquaintance Fellowship (March 31, 2007)
By: Nolly & Roda Agasen

WIN Singapore holds the Couples' Acquaintance Fellowship, or CAF as it is known to many, annually. This year's theme was the bring-a-friend edition and like the previous years, this event is packed with fun and games to encourage fellowship among the couples. We believe that families, beginning with a strongly-bonded couple, form the basic foundations of the church and the society. As we establish a closer relationship between us and grow in quantity, we'll have more couple friends to rely on when each one is in need of strength, advices, encouragement and guidance. We all have different experiences, learned different lessons, and made different mistakes in our married lives. But when summed up together and used to encourage and teach our network, it provides a very valuable tool for all of us to cope with life's daily challenges.
