I realized how blessed I am because i have not experienced distress like the Psalmist's - to the point that you felt God had left you on your own. Don't get me wrong, I did have trials in life but they were not the type of suffering described as almost impossible to endure or suffering that makes one question God's love. Nevertheless, those trials were still difficult but i considered them teaching opportunities for God to show His power and control in my life and i saw them as opportunities for me to remember God's goodness.

The preaching last Sunday emphasizes one major aspect that affect our day to day walk with the Lord: Priority.
How much time we spend on something or someone equates to the value and priority we put on them. We may all give excuses that we don't have time or we have very little time to spend with God because of our work, job and other commitments, but the truth is we just choose not to spend time with Him. We do not give our Lord and King the priority and value that is due for Him.
