A Bit Blessing With Much Praising

I didn’t expect myself to be with Pastor Butch on this trip. A month ago I was just sitting at my office and overheard an office mate of mine being sent for a business trip. And I just wondered and looked back. It’s been so long since my last business trip. That was way back when I was still in the Philippines, 10 years ago. As I was on the bus going home, I received an SMS from Pastor Joey asking me if I want to go to Myanmar. Suddenly, I had that smile on my face and asked the Lord “Lord, are you sending me on a business trip?” True enough I have experienced and witnessed how Pastor Butch encouraged & ministered to our church in Myanmar.

Before coming to Christ, my life is lived around my needs. Now that God has placed the seed of the new life in me, I have to fit myself into what God wants for me. Is there a place for me? The answer is a resounding yes! God has placed me where He can use me, I'm a witness already whether I like it or not. My family, my friends and my neighbours are the people God sends me to minister to. God has more planned for my life beyond the years of raising children.

Reflection on the Sermon by Lyn Carpio

As a WINK teacher, I enjoy teaching Noah’s great story of the Old Testament to the kids during Sunday School. I always admired him as a man who had great obedience, trust and unsinkable faith in God. Last Sunday’s sermon by Pastor Butch taught me significant lessons behind the story of Noah and reminded me to desire such unsinkable faith.
