WIN-SQ : Koinonia Global Report
Koinonia in UK
By Pastor Butch Yu

HOW MANY OF THEM CAN YOU STILL RECOGNIZE? I know many of you are excited to see them here although not everyone can remember their names.
However, one thing for sure, you recall that most of them are nurses from our vibrant SPOTTISWOODE KOINONIA. More than 7 years ago, almost all of them moved from SGH to United Kingdom for work opportunities. Even then, their passion for God and for the gospel continue to burn in their hearts. The result was the birth of CNMI (Christian Nurses Ministry International). This is the name they gave for their ministry among the nurses in U.K. So far, they have reached out not just to Filipino nurses but also to all people even other nationalities. They have also organized annual retreats, which they call CNMI Bible camp. In September 2001, they invited me to be the speaker during their first Bible Camp in Oxford. Just yesterday, Sept. 13, I received a call from Romelyn, the organizing chairperson, inviting me again to speak in their Bible Camp next year, August 22-24, 2008, in London. What a privilege and an opportunity to meet all of them once again.
Looking forward to see you all!
Pastor Butch
PS. Here’s an email I received from Jonna.
To All our Ka-koinonias in Singapore:
God is good all the time. Thank God for the good weather. We've just finished our CNMI Annual Bible Camp 2007. We're all blessed and had fun, bonding closer as brother's and sister's in Christ, praising and worshipping God, meeting old and new friends, in spite of our hectic schedules still we manage to arrange it. Sharon can testify to it when she comes back there for good. So next year be prepared Pastor Butch you are our speaker right?
I encourage our fellow nurses in Singapore to continue the work that God has given to us. It is our ministry and service to God. God bless us all as we serve Him wherever we are.
Jonna
