WIN Hong Kong & Beyond!

Like any developed country, Hong Kong, is famed for its fast paced life, a society of diverse cultures, race and religion that goes about their daily routines and activities. Its strategic location and exciting landscape makes you fall fond of its endless supply of attractions and delights. For me one thing that is special about Hong Kong is the many Filipinos that backdrops its sidewalk during Sundays. It’s a landmark of countless opportunities to bring the Gospel and share the love of Jesus to our ‘kababayans’ (fellowman) who work there for their families back home.



In my last weekend visit to Hong Kong, I was given another opportunity to take a glimpse on how God has blessed our WIN-HK church in such a short period of time. Where in just four years ago, our Hong Kong congregation started from a small office in the Central area with only around 30 regular attendees; now they have grown to over a hundred people attending their four weekly ministry meetings in their own rented centre in Wan Chai. Aside from their three services, one on Saturday and two on Sunday, they also have Tuesday meetings and a regular Bible Study in Macau.



WIN-HK has also been blessed to have PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS. Brothers Bebot on keyboard, Rudy on guitar and Romy in bass were one of the first few Filipino musicians who went to Hong Kong in the 1980s. Still lively and energetic, they remind me of the Bee Gees, where in three-part instruments blend in perfect rhythm; and with their strong praise and worship team, they bring down the house for the Lord. I’m confident that WIN-HK, together with the faithful leadership of pastor Jhun & Christy Naval, plus the servant-heart of their members, will go further in what God has called them to do, to WIN Hong Kong and beyond!
