The Fire Gone Wild!

Life at this age is the most exciting part of a person. I’ve been in this stage and still my heart is. It is, at this age where I met my two true beloved one. I met Jesus at the age of 13 and met my husband back at the age of 21.

Martin and I were in Singapore for 6 years now and it is our pleasure to be used by God in mentoring the WIN-Singapore Youth. The group may be young and fresh yet they allow God to move freely in their lives. As King Solomon says in Ecclesiastes 12:1, “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, ‘I find no pleasure in them’…”


Once again, WIN-Singapore Youth did not just remember their creator but gave glory to our amazing God. I believed that experiencing God in their lives would not be a regret. These young people have shown us how Jesus Christ rocked their world. How JC transformed them from “winkers” to a Wyldfire youths. And how He moved His mighty hand over all circumstances of life. Yes, we maybe young as a group but we have a big God, the God of all ages who doesn’t choose anybody to power up. After the last year’s “WIN THE NXT” concert, the Infanta Mission in the Philippines…. Indeed, God displayed His glorious and awesome goodness in our last Sunday’s Youth Service. We were so blessed by the high energy, unstoppable great moves and extraordinary talent of the…WIN-Wyldfire.

Power up and hearten us by the Word of God imparted to us through Pastor Martin, was so inspirational and encouraging not just to the youth but to the young at hearts as well. First Timothy 4:12, reminds us that God, who is the rock of all ages, could use people as young as 13 to save others for Christ. Boost by the Spirit of God, these young people was encouraged to serve more and to give more to the One who created us.


WIN-SG Wyldfire are the kids next door, knocking and bugging your ears, preaching JC’s Words, singing His majestic songs, dancing in the streets, and gone wild for the Lord. It is not hard to recognize them. It was Chin Makil who intensified the Praise and Worship; Makki who was from WIN Dubai, headed the Youth band; Jammi from WIN Cainta beat boxed and interpret mime with AJ Alingalan; Ivy who sings well in imitating Britney Spears. Our staying alive performer, the handsome Robinson; and Rovs the impossible, unstoppable witty guy who loves to surprise us every Sunday with the announcements. Not only that, we have our very own maneuver dancers catered by Missy Makil. Steevie Lazo who transformed quickly and some other WIN wink kids who grew up so fast and gone wild to serve the one and only true God. Singapore may be a tiny island miles away from America and Philippines, but we are serving ONE GOD, the God who saved and changed the world, the God who rocks our world.


Who is Jesus? Jesus, who rocked my life 20 years ago…and still rocking my world today made me complete as a Christian, as a wife, as a mother and as …a pastor together with Pastor Martin, mentors of these Wyldfire. Thanks to all the youth who continuously serves God with their lives. To all the Pastors who prayed for us earnestly, and to God who gives us our daily triumph.
